01 Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Budget Circle ("the app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
These terms apply to all users of Budget Circle, including users who create or join groups.
02 The Service
Budget Circle is a personal finance and group expense tracking app. It allows you to:
- Log and categorize personal expenses.
- Create and monitor budgets with spending limits.
- Track the current value of personal assets.
- Create groups to record and split shared expenses with other users.
Budget Circle is a record-keeping tool. It does not process payments, transfer money, or connect to your bank accounts.
03 Account Registration
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering — specifically your real name and a valid email address.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at ranc.mobileappdev@gmail.com.
Each person may hold one account. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is not permitted.
04 Your Data & Content
You own the financial data you enter into Budget Circle. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your data. We do not analyze, sell, or use your financial records for any purpose other than displaying them back to you and syncing them across your devices.
05 Groups & Shared Finances
Groups are collaborative ledgers. When you add an expense to a group, all members of that group can see it. You are responsible for ensuring the amounts and descriptions you enter are accurate.
Budget Circle does not settle debts, transfer funds, or enforce any financial obligation between group members. Any money owed between members must be settled directly between those individuals. Budget Circle only records what members enter — it does not verify accuracy.
Group owners can remove members. Members can leave a group at any time. Historical records remain in the group after a member leaves.
Do not add another person to a group without their consent.
06 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Budget Circle to:
- Enter false, fraudulent, or misleading financial records to deceive other group members.
- Harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
- Attempt to access another user's account without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the app's backend infrastructure.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
07 Financial Disclaimer
We are not responsible for financial decisions you make based on data recorded in Budget Circle. The accuracy of all data depends entirely on what you enter.
08 Service Availability
Budget Circle is provided on an "as is" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages, or changes may temporarily affect access to cloud sync features.
The app is designed to work offline. Your locally cached data remains accessible even when the service is unavailable.
09 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We will remove your data within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in cases of serious violations.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Budget Circle and its developers are not liable for:
- Any financial loss resulting from data you enter or decisions you make using the app.
- Loss of data due to device failure, uninstallation, or account deletion.
- Disputes between group members over shared expenses.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
11 Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Budget Circle after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
